To provide advice and support to people with a serious sight loss to allow them to participate fully in their community, to assist them to remain in their own homes with the provision of aids and adaptations, to support them to pursue employment and further education. To help them with their communication needs, dealing with mail, bills etc. We would like to engage volunteers in a befriending/visiting scheme as most of our clients are elderly and live alone. These volunteers could assist people with tasks such as handling their mail, seeing to correspondence, bills etc, taking them out for shopping or visiting to provide them with much needed social contact.
