Glasgow Furniture Initiative (GFI) is a Company Limited by Guarantee (Company No SC326191) and a Scottish Charity (Charity No SC040503). At GFI our work is founded on social inclusion principles and we continually strive to improve the livelihoods and environment of communities across Glasgow. The everyday work of GFI provides essential household furniture to people in disadvantaged positions, diverts thousands of tonnes of material from landfill each year and provides training and work opportunities to members of the local community. In the period from July to June 2009/10 over 5,000 households were assisted by GFI and over 1,200 tonnes of furniture was restored and diverted from landfill. With your help, whether it be donating goods, volunteering or purchasing furniture, GFI can continue to improve the welfare and environment of communities across Glasgow.
