Fresh Air-shire is the smoking prevention and cessation service covering all of Ayrshire and Arran. The service is delivered within the community, hospitals, islands, further education, schools, workplaces, pharmacy and prison. Fresh Airshire provides a wide range of support systems to help people who want to stop smoking, or help people make the right decision about not starting. These include individual support, group support, telephone support, information and advice, access to treatments including Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and other pharmacotherapies.. This support is provided by a team of Specialist Smoking Cessation and Prevention Advisors, Community Pharmacy Advisors and Support Services Officers. Fresh Airshire also supports the development of tailored programmes and activities within a range of areas including schools and further education, communities and youth groups. Areas of support include training, resource development & provision & awareness raising.
