Part of the Drugs Action Range of Services - Reg Charity - SC013582. This new service aims to improve the quality of life of individuals, families and communities affected by alcohol use by helping people reduce harmful patterns of alcohol consumption and live meaningful and satisfying lives. Working alongside Alcohol Case Workers, service users will be supported by volunteers who will act as buddies/enablers to help move people forward in their recovery journey. The Volunteers will provide an important role within the service by delivering the telephone helpline service, which is the main route into the service. The Volunteers will also support the work carried out by the Alcohol Case Workers by acting as Buddies/Enablers to support service users in moving forward on their recovery journey.
