About
Every two minutes, somewhere in the UK someone is diagnosed with cancer. What they need is a way to get through their diagnosis and adjust to a life-changing and for some life-threatening illness. What we can offer them is a Maggie's Centre. A Maggie's Centre is a place where anyone affected by cancer can turn to for help. People can go there if they've been recently diagnosed or have been living with cancer for decades. The centre is also open to friends or family members supporting those with cancer. The programme of support offered at our centres helps people to manage the impact of a diagnosis of cancer and to live with, through and beyond cancer with hope and determination. Maggie's Centres are built alongside major cancer hospitals and work hand-in-hand with the NHS to complement medical treatment.
