Alderman Rd Community Gardens aims to increase volunteering & training opportunities to those experiencing economic & social exclusion. The project works with individuals who have experienced problems with mental ill health, addictions, long term unemployment & asylum seekers. We offer horticultural training (informal), workshops & the opportunity to participate in many aspects of gardening & landscaping, on & off site, in our market garden & allotment. We aim to support individuals to improve their skills profile, employability & confidence, & provide a safe & supportive environment where they can socialise & work with other local people.
