As part of Community Learning and Development, we organise classes and one-to-one tuition and support for learners needing help with basic literacy and numeracy. We also organise classes for those needing E.S.O.L (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Group tutors are paid, but tutors who work 1:1 are volunteers. Tuition can take place at centres as student's homes. Training for volunteer tutor is available throughout Dumfries and Galloway (Courses commences 26.10.04 Castle Douglas - Tuesday evenings)
