About Opportunity

This opportunity will involve: Delivering rugby sessions at primary or high school level during curriculum time and in line with the IPCSC Sports Programme, Working with the IPCSC Sports Development Team to achieve their goals. You will receive: Feedback on your coaching and a coach development plan, Experience of working with young people-an excellent opportunity for potential PE or Teaching student Rugby Ready course (IPCSC can advise of local courses that can be attended for no cost) PVG (again IPCSC can assist with this if not in place)

About Inch Park Community Sports Club (IPCSC)

IPCSC is committed to delivering a variety of sporting activities and leadership programmes in the local community. Provide growth and development in our core clubs, healthier community members with more sporting opportunities for yiung people encourage healthier lifestyle choices, increase the employability of young people and create safer and friendlier places.

Basic knowledge of rugby and an enthusiasm for working with young people in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Travel Details

The rugby delivery will take place in the South of Edinburgh- Liberton, Gilmerton and Gracemount areas of Edinburgh. If transport is required Inch Park Community Sports Club will provide funds for a bus pass.

Induction/Training, Informal Chat, References, Trial Period

Training and Induction Details

The volunteer will shadow a senior member of staff whilst they deliver in the local schools. Thereafter a coach development plan will be agreed between the volunteer and the Sport Programme Manager.
