About Opportunity
The main purpose of this role is to support the promotion of the benefits of the guide dog service for blind and partially sighted people. This will involve working with a range of organisations and possibly media outlets to ultimately increase the number of enquiries from people who can benefit from having a Guide Dog. You will distribute literature within the community and be able to understand and explain information to prospecting enquirers, dispelling myths, passing enquiries onto the local team office. You will also organise and man information stands at local events with the support of staff and other local volunteers.
