About Opportunity
Would you like to be involved in supporting large national volunteer involving organisations to use the Volunteering Zone, an application that feeds the biggest and best volunteer recruitment website in Scotland? If so, step this way!
We're looking for someone who: uses the internet with consumate ease; preferably has experience with online applications; is friendly and approachable; a soothing and supportive manner with technophobes; the communications skills to help organisaitons use the Volunteering Zone in the most efficent and effective way for their organisation.
We also want you to help us promote the Volunteering Zone to organisations and set up communications with regular users of the service to help them use it better.

Skills & Experience
Friendly, approachable manner with good inter-personal skills
Confidence when speaking to people from a wide variety of organisations and backgrounds
Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with volunteer involving organisations
Experience, enthusiasm and competence in using the internet, particularly online service applications
Competent in basic use of Microsoft Office systems
Competent with use of email and internet
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a variety of volunteer involving organisations
Preferably, experience in writing volunteer role descriptions
Travel Details
Volunteer Development Scotland is situated very near the city centre in Stirling and is easily accessible by public transport, on foot and by car.
Training and Induction Details

Induction Day Required
Ongoing Training
Volunteers will be allocated a volunteer manager within VDS. The volunteer manager will give an induction, in person, going over the role description, volunteer agreement and any other relevant issues. Training will be given in the technological aspects of the role. If the volunteer has any other support requirements, these can be discussed with the volunteer manager and where possible appropriate support will be put in place.

No formal qualifications necessary but we would welcome applications for people who are competent users of various technological applications

Expenses Detail
1. Travel to and from home and VDS Stirling (or place of volunteering) and during your volunteering as necessary. Rates as per VDS Travel Policy apply.
2. Lunch allowance to a maximum of £3.00 per day. 4. Relevant telephone calls on production of a detailed statement.

Frequency & Commitment
The role will be based a Volunteer Development Scotland (VDS) in Stirling. It takes place during week days but there is flexibility on which day(s) the role could be undertaken. It is envisaged that initially the role will be for around two days per week but we'd be happy to hear from you if you like the sound of the role and can give more or less time than this.
Minimum Age
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
