About Opportunity

Your Role would be to support and encourage our clients in their art activities and to help build the client’s confidence and self-esteem. This would include promoting and encourage the act of reminiscing through art, music and exchanging memories with the group. Previous experience of working in the care sector is desirable, although enthusiasm and a positive outlook are equally acceptable.

About Libertus

To provide a day services for older people, frail older people and people with dementia in the South East Edinburgh area. Also provides social, recreational and educational opportunities for young adults who are effected by a disability or have special needs.

Skills & Experience

Knowledge of local history, Interest in Retro and old interiors, Must be friendly with a caring disposition, Good communication skills, Understanding around confidentiality.

Libertus Services, 20 Gracemount Drive, Edinburgh, EH16 6RN. (Off Captain’s Road, opposite Gracemount Leisure Centre) LRT Buses No’s - 7, 11 and 18 stop nearby on Captain’s Road.

Training and Induction Details

Induction training will provide volunteers with an opportunity to discuss their role and responsibilities and to be familiar with relevant organisational policies. Training opportunities relevant to the position will be available.
