About Opportunity
Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland is currently looking for a volunteer Regional Chairperson for the Fife Region. We are seeking an individual who has a background in senior management and has excellent people skills who could provide strong leadership, support and organisational skills as the Chair. You would be required to develop an understanding of the full range of activities and responsibilities of the regions' volunteers and admin staff.
A detailed role description is of course available, but main tasks include: chairing regional management committee meetings; supporting regional staff members as first point of contact; representing the region at national meetings; participation in discussions with actual and potential funders.

About Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland
We support bereaved people throughout Scotland, through a network of local regions and teams. Support is offered in the main through one-to-one face-to-face counselling from specially trained volunteers. In addition, we provide a telephone helpline service.
The support is available to anyone who has been bereaved, this includes children and young people.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is reliable and trustworthy with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills and an ability to work well within a team whilst respecting confidentiality.
Travel Details
The Fife Regional Office is based at 665 Wellesley Road, Methil. KY8 3PQ.
Requirements
Once you have made contact, we would require you to complete a volunteer application form and provide contact information of willing referees. Thereafter you would be required to attend an informal chat and from there join us for initial induction.

Expenses Detail
We will reimburse public transport fares on submission of receipts / tickets. A volunteer mileage rate of 30p is also in operation.
Frequency & Commitment
The time commitment for this role is estimated at one day per week on routine issues with additional busier spells in preparing regional committee meetings and working around funding applications.
Minimum Age
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
