Over 50's Walking Group - Assistant Leader
When We Need You
From 27/06/2012 onwards
As an Assistant Walk Leader, you will be helping the Walk Leader by walking with and chatting to the group walkers and generally helping out where necessary. You will receive ongoing support and all walks will happen in your local area. Walks will at first be restricted to short town-based trails, within the Barrhead & Neilston areas. As the group becomes established, we hope to make use of the volunteers' “Wee Red Bus” to take us to more rural locations, such as the dams and the Gleniffer Country Park. On occasion it will be necessary to deputise for the Walk Leader when they are absent. If you'd like to help people appreciate where they live, socialise and lead a healthier, happier lifestyle please get in touch. All walkers are responsible for their own safety on walks.
