About Opportunity
DAPL (Drug and Alcohol Project Limited) is a counselling service offering one to one counselling and other forms of support to anyone affected by their own or other's drug use. As a volunteer, you would work as part of the wider team. As a volunteer befriender, you would work one to one with a client who is requiring some support to access community facilities/activities or groups. Clients would be identified by project workers through assessment and review. This would identify the support required. The project worker will facilitate the initial introduction with the volunteer. A risk assessment will have been undertaken and you will work within DAPL's Lone Worker Policy.
