About Opportunity
DAPL (Drug and Alcohol Project Limited) is a counselling service offering one to one counselling and other forms of support to anyone affected by their own or other's drug use. As a volunteer, you would work as part of the administration team undertaking a variety of administration tasks. When answering the phone you would be the first point of contact for clients, members of the public and staff from other agencies, then directing the call to the appropriate person and taking messages as required. There are a number of administrative tasks that you would be trained to fulfil including attending to the mail, compiling and disseminating information packs and electronic data collation. In addition you would be given the experience of working in a busy counselling agency, interacting with other team members, meeting and greeting clients as they arrive for appointments.
