About Opportunity
Lifeline has two busy and successful charity shops in Gorgie and Portobello High Street. Portobello is currently undergoing an upgrade and we need more volunteers to work one or two days per week. You will join a long-standing and friendly team sorting and displaying merchandise in the shop. You will also serve customers and be able to tell them about Lifeline’s services if asked. The Shop Manager will provide you with a full induction when you join the team. All volunteers are given ongoing support and receive a certificate of service itemising the knowledge and skills developed in the shop. As well as a professional manager the work of the shop is overseen by a Board of Trustees which includes members with retail management experience.

About Lifeline Pregnancy Counselling And Care
We offer the following services: Counselling for those who have concerns about pregnancy, fertility, post-natal depression, miscarriage or termination. Free pregnancy testing. Emotional support during and after pregnancy. Practical assistance with baby clothes and equipment where needed.
Skills & Experience
Volunteers should be willing to work in the back store sorting donated goods and steaming clothes as well as displaying merchandise and talking politely to customers.
