About Opportunity
Volunteers will organise or participate in activities and events that promote the Zero Waste Scotland campaigns to help reduce waste and improve the environment that we live in. Volunteers can receive training and provide information in one or all of the campaigns such as the 'Loce Food hate Waste' helping people save money on their shopping while at the same time reducing the amout of waste that would need uplifting. 'Stop the Drop' providing information on how to reduce the amount of unwanted mail that is delivered to reduce the amount of unwanted mail that is delivered to households. 'Home Composting' helps to reduce the amount of organic waste produced every year by households and ancourages a more sustainable way of looking after our gardens. 'Recycling' provides advice on local recycling facilities to protect the environment and conserve resources. By volunteering in the community you can help deliver these messages to members of the public.

Travel Details
There will be opportunities to volunteer at organised events across the region such as 'Environment Fair', stands at coffee mornings/supermarkets and in addition we will support volunteers to organise events for the environment through waste awarenesss. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Induction training which includes health & safety, fire procedures, forms etc. is given along with all induction and campaign details in a volunteer manual Training for each campaign is provided as required.
