About Opportunity
Could you make a difference to local young people? We have an opportunity for you to be shaping the future generation of Govan and Linthouse. 119th Glasgow Boys Brigade have been meeting in Linthouse for 110 years. The company is one of few who still meet in the same hall they started in, and are very proud of this achievement. This gives the boys a sense of being part of something long lasting and successful, and helps them to achieve a lot in many spheres from football and badminton to rock climbing, as well as other fun activities such as bowling. Under the stewardship of their Captain, the company is undergoing some restructuring at the moment. This makes it an exciting time to become part of something which will go from strength to strength in the future and we are looking for men or women who would be happy to help our young men achieve all they can. Training is available through the Boys Brigade, and support will be given by experienced officers. All you need is some time and a willingness to make a difference to helping shape young lives. In return, you will be rewarded in so many ways as you know you have helped make a difference to the lives of our boys week by week, and will have the opportunity to take part in outings and events. If you feel you could give your time in this very worthwhile way, please get in touch with us using the contact details on this page or select REGISTER INTEREST now. We will respond within 3 working days and arrange to meet for a chat. If you do not hear back from us within this time, please contact the Volunteer Centre.
