About Opportunity

To deliver a range of activities such as bingo, reminiscence sessions, arts and crafts, etc within the sheltered accommodation units. Session planning will also be required. All volunteers will receive full training and guidance on delivering sessions within sheltered accommodation, there will also be opportunities for further training within other sections in Leisure Development. Recognition: Annual Awards Ceremony for Bank Staff and Volunteers hosted by Leisure Services.

To provide opportuities to enable people in East Ayrshire to be more active, more often and provide opportunities to volunteers to improve their employability and personnel development.

Skills & Experience

Must enjoy company of older people and be willing to take part in training that will be provided. Welcome clubs take place weekly at any time within the day. We ask that you give serious consideration to how much time that you can offer to volunteering with us before we arrange training for you. We would expect you to volunteer for a minimum of 50 hours after your training.

Travel Details

Various sheltered accommodation units throughout East Ayrshire.

Training and Induction Details

All volunteers will receive full training and guidance on delivering sessions within sheltered accommodation, there will also be opportunities for further training within other sections in Leisure Development.
