About Opportunity

This is to look after the account of the unit deposit and account for the contributions of the cadets on a monthly time scale and audit the petty cash account at the end of the month, help with the count and deposit any fundraising money.

About Ardrossan Sea Cadets Corps

The sea cadet corps is a nationwide voluntary uniformed youth organisation, open to young people aged 12 to 18 and with junior sections for 10 to 12 year olds regardless of sex, religion or race, and within the bounds of safety to themselves and others.

The aim of the sea cadet corps is to help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the royal navy.

Skills & Experience

Must have book keeping/ accountancy skills as accounts are submitted to OSCR yearly.

Travel Details

The unit is based at 15 Harbour Street, using public transport is possilble. Alight in Princes Street, walk towards the ferry terminal at the level crossing and the unit is on the left hand side.

Training and Induction Details

Any volunteer will need a disclosure clearance as young people are involved. Training on all aspects are carried out by the Sea Cadet Corps
