About Opportunity
Are you interested in or would you like to try something new and enjoy working with young people? Like being creative and using your imagination? We have volunteer opportunities available for people looking to work with young people aged 5-18 yrs in a community based arts workshop, setting up, assisting workshop staff and joining in activities. We are looking for people with an interest or experience in visual art, art and craft or music and song writing to help volunteer at one of our exciting and engaging workshops for young people of various ages. There will also be opportunities to run workshops and activities and to organise performances or exhibitions. We are a large and varied staff team with an ever changing programme of activities that can introduce you into the field of arts and youth work, it’s an amazing opportunity to develop your skills and help others while you are at it. **HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?** If you are interested in this opportunity please get in touch with us ideally by email or phone using the contact details on this page. About Depot Arts Co
Depot Art Co (Charity No SCO34257) is a North Glasgow based community arts project providing creative workshops predominately for young people aged 5-25yrs. We are also currently developing new work with young parents and families. We work to increase the opportunities for young people to engage in cultural and creative activities as a means of enhancing their own life chances and transferable skills.
We run taster events, workshops programmes, assist with wider initiatives and lead on a youth arts volunteering project.
Our workshop programme covers a variety of art forms including drama, dance, circus, visual arts, music, movement, digital media and film.
Skills & Experience
A welcoming, friendly and outgoing nature and a non-judgemental attitude. The motivation to work with children and young people and a good level of reliability. Some abilities with arts and crafts, drama or games would be helpful but not necessary. An interest/ability in music and songwriting.
Travel Details
Our workshops run in various venues across North Glasgow and most are easily accessible via local bus routes.

Expenses Detail
We can pay for public transport or car mileage. When workshops last longer than 4 hours we will also provide expenses for food. All expenditure must be claimed monthly on volunteer expenses form with appropriate receipts.
