When We Need You
From 27/01/2012 onwards
About Opportunity
Our aim for 2012 is to win the British Championship, and passion alone won't help pay the bills. Finding sponsorship to offset our costs will play a huge part in our success. That's where you can help. We need volunteers to manage our sponsorship programme and encourage companies to sponsor us in exchange for helping them promote their business at our club. You'll source and approach potential new sponsors and help them see the possible return on investing with us. We'll provide you with support on meetings and identifying opportunities, and all the information you need about the team. In return, you'll get great satisfaction from seeing the sponsorship deals you negotiated directly benefit the club. And in developing one of our most vital income streams, you'll take on a lot of responsibility which will help progress your career.

About East Kilbride Pirates American Football
The East Kilbride Pirates are Scotland's only premier division American Football team. We are entirely amateur, and the club is run by volunteer coaches and staff. We have a senior team for over 18s, and a youth team for 14-17 year olds. Our goals are to increase awareness and interest in the sport in the local area, keep costs for participation to a minimum to ensure there are no barriers to entry, and encourage people - especially young people - to be more active by trying a new activity.
Skills & Experience
Ideally, you'll need to be: well organised; confident and a good communicator; passionate about promoting the team; a good negotiator. Experience in a sales environment would be helpful, as would a driving licence and access to a car as we would expect volunteers to meet with prospective sponsors.
Travel Details
Volunteers will work from home normally, as the majority of contact would be by phone or email. However, some travel to businesses in the South Lanarkshire area and Greater Glasgow area may be required to meet with prospective sponsors. Our team's home ground is Hamilton Rugby Club, ML3 6PY.
Restrictions
Volunteers would be left unsupervised.
