Rabbit Welfare Education & Awareness Volunteer
When We Need You
From 24/01/2012 onwards
About Opportunity
Are you binky about rabbits?
Does hearing about Britain's neglect of our 3rd most popular pet leave you hopping mad?
Do you want to make a real difference?
We're looking for volunteers to help us in a new initiative we're
running to help improve rabbit welfare education and awareness in
Glasgow and West Central Scotland.
All you need is a passion for animal/rabbit welfare, confidence to
speak publicly and some free time that you're willing to give up to
help. You will need to be reliable, but we can easily work around your
social or work schedule. Access to your own transport is an advantage
but not essential.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You'll find yourself presenting our Information & Awareness
events in various locations including local galas, fairs, shopping
centres, pet stores and even in nurseries and schools, either presenting
on your own or alongside one of our other volunteers (if you don't want
to be left on your own, just say and we'll make sure you always have a
buddy).
We will give you all the materials and training you'll need.
THE POSITION
This is an unpaid volunteer position only, but where appropriate travel expenses can be recovered.
This is a truly exciting opportunity, and will offer experiences
that are otherwise difficult to come by. An excellent addition to any
CV. Would also suit senior secondary pupils, students, unemployed or
retirement lifestyle as can easily fit in around your existing schedule,
with various weekday, evening and weekend opportunities available.
Please note, a Disclosure Scotland or PVG check may be required.
