About Opportunity
Interested in social enterprise and social innovation? Fancy helping us tackle graduate employability issues?
We are a small team of graduates looking to get under the skin of the graduate employability problem. We’re supported by a network of high-calibre professionals from all sectors who are driving innovation in Scotland. Throughout 2012 we’ll be running innovative projects to help graduates navigate the transition from education to employment and carve careers in the chaotic land of the job hunt. We’re determined to inspire graduates to take a more proactive and creative approach to personal development and job hunting – and give them the resources to do so.
We want people who are engaged with the problems graduates face on entering the world of work and who are motivated to create solutions. Are you interested in social development, and social innovation? Are you enthusiastic about being part of the solution to one of the most pertinent problems facing the country at present? We only ask that you live in (or are able and willing to travel to) Glasgow or Edinburgh from time to time.
We understand that bills have to be paid, and we want to give you the opportunity to build your CV while working, so you may contribute as much or as little time as you are able. We intend to develop a social enterprise – this is a voluntary opportunity to create a paid job for yourself.
You could get involved with anything from business development to blogging: social media, research, PR and communications, event management, administration, advertising, design, product development, web development.
Please send us a CV and anything else that will let us know a bit more about you. Send us a link to your blog or to a twitter, flickr or any other kind of account.
