About Opportunity

We need someone with ability and enthusiasm to work with our development worker and occasionally our treasurer, on a variety of activities around PR and fundraising applications for our Community Garden and forthcoming Community Orchard. Articulate, confident and with an interest in current issues around local food growing if possible would be appreciated, as well as an aesthetic sense for the future development of our marvellous location. Willingness to lend a hand with practical work now and then as well please.

About The Friary Community Garden

To enhance environment of grounds behind Civic Centre in Inverkeithing. Act as a demonstration garden for growing own food. Provide a place of beauty for locals and visitor to enjoy. Supply opportunities for light gardening for able and disabled people. Provide opportunities for social interaction across ages and classes

Skills & Experience

Articulate and literate. A good mixer. An interest in community involvement. Familiarity with basic computer skills. A willingness to learn more about the Third Sector or teach us more if they already have experience. Flexibility and a good sense of humour.

Travel Details

Central Inverkeithing. A car would be useful but there is a railway station and various buses.

Attendance at monthly meetings, then familiarisation with past successful applications then work in tandem with the development worker
