Women's Reading Circle Support Worker
When We Need You
From 11/01/2012 onwards
About Opportunity
Glasgow Women's Library is an archive, library, learning centre and a national resource for women across Scotland. We have a range of national resources for women, including a small satellite book collection in the Ewart library in Dumfries and we would like to develop these resources in the Dumfries area. We hope to develop a women's reading circle where women can read books and discuss books from GWL's collection and maybe offer a few suggestions themselves about books by women authors which they have found helpful or inspirational. We need a locally based woman who can help our national worker in supporting a reading circle which will meet on a monthly basis in Dumfries. This is a chance to socialise and discover new women authors, develop your own reading and leadership skills and also to help other women improve their skills and confidence in reading.
