Do you want to help make a difference to people affected by cancer? Join Macmillan Cancer Support as a Collections Volunteer and you will.
Macmillan is looking for friendly and passionate volunteers to help us with our fundraising. By giving your spare time and expertise to Macmillan, you can make a real difference to the lives of local people affected by cancer.
If you've got what it takes, you'll be involved in vital activities inluding:
• Liaising with your local Fundraising Manager and Collection Co-ordinator
• Issuing up to date fundraising materials and collection merchandise to volunteers and committees
• Distribution of collection merchandise to venues
• Sourcing new venues for collecting cans
• Collecting funds on behalf of the charity, issuing receipts, paying in and updating the collection record

Skills & Experience
Good organisation and communication skills
Approachable & friendly
Community engagement
Strong local knowledge
Numeracy/Book keeping skills
Honesty and reliability as you will be handling money
Requirements
To be able to commit to this role for at least 12 months
Ability to store collection materials such as collection tins
Car / good transport links
Training and Induction Details
Ongoing Training
A full briefing will be provided on your role. Background provided on Macmillan's work. Other training to complete the role will be provided as necessary.
