About Opportunity
Home Link Family Support exists to provide good quality personal support to families with preschool children who are under stress and experiencing difficulties. This support is primarily provided through our befriending service which operates in South East and South West Edinburgh and Midlothian. We are looking to recruit an individual to assist with the recruitment of volunteer Befrienders and the marketing of our service for families. This would include developing, distributing materials (car use essential for updating and distributing materials and attending events, also includes distribution by post and email), using creativity to develop new materials, and using your own initiative to help expand and improve methods for marketing and recruitment.

About Home Link Family Support
Home Link offers practical and emotional support to families who are under stress or experiencing difficulties. All families have at least one child under five. They are usually referred to us by Health Visitors/Social Workers who see the need for reliable, sustainable, low-key support by a Home Link befriender.
Skills & Experience
Attentive to detail; punctual and reliable; creative; able to work according to your own initiative; able to work as part of a team; willingness to make new contacts and attend volunteer recruitment events; knowledge of the local Edinburgh area and/or Midlothian is helpful but not essential.
Travel Details
Home Link Family Support head office – 2 Easter Road, EH7 5AN, with the option of working partially from home if desired.

Training and Induction Details
Iinduction & training will be provided include an overview of Home Link Family Support, current marketing and recruitment methods and strategies, review of the volunteer agreement and explanation of ongoing support and supervision for the volunteer.
