About Opportunity
We are looking for volunteer mini bus drivers to assist in transporting vulnerable young people from South East Glasgow in partnership with youth workers. Volunteers with a MIDAS certificate would be desirable, but a driving licence that allows you to drive a mini-bus is essential. Drivers are needed to support young people aged 10-18 in voluntary and statutory youth clubs in Pollokshields, Govanhill, Gorbals and Toryglen. HOW DO I GET INVOLVED? To increase the skills of volunteer and frontline youth work members of staff. To improve the services available to young people in the South East of Glasgow and surrounding areas. To provide community learning and development opportunities to meet the needs of our members and wider community.
Skills & Experience
Volunteers must hold a full, clean driving licence, which allows them to drive a mini-bus. Ideally volunteers will have a MIDAS certificate. We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, committed and have a genuine interest in supporting young people who are vulnerable.
Travel Details
Opportunities take place throughout South-East Glasgow.

Volunteers must hold a full, clean driving licence.

Training and Induction Details
All volunteers will receive a full induction, and regular support and supervision sessions with a member of the committee. There will be further training opportunities.

Frequency & Commitment
Hours to be agreed, dependant on running times of youth clubs, with a minimum commitment of 6 months, ideally.
