About Opportunity

EKTA Elderly Group Forum is looking for someone with experience of sourcing and applying for funding to join their Board in order to expand the services the Group offers to elderly members of the local Sikh community. Currently the group offers a weekly drop-in centre at which those attending can engage in a variety of social and recreational activities with a view to reducing isolation and improving levels of social interaction. The Group is keen to further develop existing services but requires the assistance of someone who can help them access funding in order to do so. **HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?** If you are interested in this opportunity please get in touch with us using the contact details on this page. Drop in centre - Support elderly Sikh community, create awareness, social interaction, remove isolation, cultural institutional barriers, meet people of similar backgrounds.

Skills & Experience

The Group requires the help of someone with experience of sourcing and applying for funding from public sector funds and/or Grant Making Trusts.

Travel Details

Drop In & Board Meetings take place in Merrylee Parish Church, 80 Merrylee Road (near Cathcart Railway Station).
