About Opportunity

To support individuals with daily activities such as shopping, attending appointments, swimming, horseriding, attending the gym, therapet (walking dogs), attending college and making new friends. Looking for people to volunteer alongside staff, to help and support with the above activities, or volunteer with one of our service users who only gets a small amount of support a week, travels independently and is looking for companionship.

About Turning Point Scotland

Viewpoint offer an alternative service to the day centre and aim to fulfill people's goals, aspirations, gaining community links and accessing resources. Our remit is to help people to find friendships, jobs and try out new activities. We also aim to help people to move on - so that we can gradually withdraw and their independence will be increased, with natural friendships etc.

SAIL (South Ayrshire Independent Living) is one of the many services provided by Turning Point Scotland. Provides person centred support to adults with a range of complex needs throughout Scotland.

Skills & Experience

Outgoing, fun, sense of humour, have good values and non judgemental. Dealing with the public, good communication skills and good team player.

Travel Details

Ayr and Prestwick. On local bus routes.

Expenses Detail

40p per mile and public transport costs. Any out of pocket expenses. Reimbursed for activities, lunches up to £5 and dinner up to £7, if out with the individual.

Min hours required - 3 Max hours required - 5 Anyday - afternoons and early evenings.
