About Opportunity
During the first FOCCUS session you will meet with the couples and they will individually complete a detailed questionnaire. This is then processed to identify their relationship's unique profile. A week or so later the couple will return for an individual feedback session with you. This second meeting is a chance for couples to discover more about each other, helping to identify and appreciate the strengths and opportunities in their life together.

About Scottish Marriage Care
Scottish Marriage Care provides relationship counselling to couples and individuals all over Scotland. SMC relationship counselling services are available to couples or individuals who are married, living together, living apart, divorced or separated. Our counselling services are offered without judgement or discrimination on any grounds and regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, personal beliefs or social background.
Skills & Experience
No formal qualifications are necessary but you will need to...... Have an interest in working with relationships. and be honest and concerned for other people. Caring attitude and accepting/respecting of other peoples personalities and views. Able to work with couples in a non-judgmental way. Have life experience and be developmentally mature. Able to attend all training days and fulfil the academic level of this course. Enthusiastic about marriage preparation. It would be useful to have a driving licence but not essential - FOCCUS Facilitators often work in a variety of areas and locations throughout West Central scotland.
Travel Details
The Holmston Bungalow, 3A Holmston Road, Ayr. Bus stop 50 metres from Centre and Train Station only 200 metres away.
Restrictions
Age 25-30 in some cases. The persom must be old enough to have experienced a committed relationship for between 5 and 7 years and have the maturity to have credibility with couples.

Frequency & Commitment
Min hours required, 3 hours per week. Max hours possible would be 15. Choice of days Mon-Thurs and accassionally Sat morning. Evenings 5.30 to 9.30 Sat morning any time between 10 and 1pm.
Minimum Age
Volunteers must be at least 30 years of age.
