About Opportunity

To convey passengers safely between their home address and their destination. To drive vehicles with due care and attention for their passengers and other road users. To assist with passenger needs in an emergency, if it is safe to stop and do so. Remain with the vehicle and passengers already in situ, to enable the escort to collect additional passengers. Ensure that people who require assistance, and all children, are supervised or assisted when boarding or alighting from the vehicle. To ensure that all passengers are seated comfortably and wearing a seat belt. If special seats or booster cushions are used ensure that they are properly fixed and adjusted. Ensure that anyone travelling in their wheelchair is safely secured and harnesses or restraints are correctly fitted. Wheelchairs not in use must be securely stored on the vehicle. To ensure Vehicles are kept clean, tidy and in a safe condition. To keep a record of all runs and record all mileage, and to give this information to the Service Manger in the first week of each month. Report all accidents to the Service Manager immediately. Complete appropriate training as required with the changing needs/legislation of the post. 12. Comply with all health and Safety Regulations. 13.
