About Opportunity

To join the network of volunteers that assist our sessional workers to provide support to children with autism in a group setting enabling them to partcipate in a range of social and leisure actvties and on occasion opportunities to acces facilities within their local communities. Each group plans their own programme of actvties including sports games, arts and crafts, music and swimming.

Skills & Experience

Volunteers would be ethusiastic, enjoy working wit others and have a willingness to learn. They should also have an undrstanding of the importance of reliability and beng committed. Experience of working with people with disabilities is not essential as we will provide training when you join.

Travel Details

The groups are based locally wthin schools and community centres in Renfrewshire.

Application Form, Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Other, Police Check, References

Training and Induction Details

Training provides skills & confidence to undertake voluntery work. After induction volunteers supported by Link worker. Link worker would also offer advice on any additional such as basic sign language, epilepsy or First Aid if it would be beneficial.
