About Opportunity
The project is based in the grounds of Netherthird Nursery, Cumnock, and has both landscaping and garden construction elements to it. The main aspects of the job are: Path construction, Building a recycled plastic bottle greenhouse, building planters, constructing decking, creating a sensory garden and putting down some slabbing. Volunteers should wear warm waterproof clothes and appropriate work shoes, we can provide wellies and waterproofs if needed. We will provide gloves, tools, training, qualified leaders. About (BTCV) British Trust for Conservation Volunteers
BTCV has projects throughout ayrshire helping construct fences, walking paths, gardens and school grounds and controlling invasive weeds. Volunteers are wanted to help do community conservation projects.
Skills & Experience
VOLUNTEERS SHOULD ENJOY WORKING OUTDOORS; PHYSICAL FITNESS IS REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE TASKS NECESSARY TO THIS PROJECT.
Travel Details
Netherthird Nursery. We aim to be on site from 10.15 to 3.30 each day, Mon-Thurs for 4 weeks starting from Wed 19th October. Meet at BTCV office at Auchincruive at 9.30, OR, we can arrange pick up points in Mauchline, Auchinleck or Cumnock.
Restrictions
A level of physical fitness will be required for this project given the nature of the work involved.
