About Opportunity

Location: External role which would involve being out and about in their local town or village. Role Purpose: To raise much needed funds for the Foundation, while also serving to promote our charity and its work in the community. Main tasks 1. Placing collection cans in a suitable and willing venue. 2. Servicing collection cans. 3. Emptying and counting collection cans. 4. Keeping accurate records. 5. Banking money.

About Yorkhill Children's Foundation

To provide enhanced medical equipment and resources which benefit sick children who are treated at Yorkhill Hospital and within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Skills & Experience

Someone who is often out and about in their local neighbourhood and who enjoys working with the public. Confidence in cash handling. Good record keeping. Driving license would be preferable and willingness to travel. Friendly and sociable as this is a very public facing role. Good time keeping skills. Honest and reliable.

Travel Details

Volunteers are required all over Scotland in their home towns. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Frequency & Commitment

Volunteers can dedicate as little or as much time as they want. For the bucket collections, a usual weekend shift would be 9am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm if at a supermarket or shopping centre collection.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
