About Opportunity

Volunteering as a sports coach allows the volunteer to develop their confidence, leadership skills and enhances career prospects. The user benefits in increased sporting opportunities, being in contact with a positive role model and being part of a positive social group. Volunteers are essential to the long term sustainability of all leisure activities. By volunteering within local community sports activities you improve the quality of sporting opportunities for all.

About (EAC) East Ayrshire Council Leisure Development

To provide sporting, leisure and recreational activities for the community of East Ayrshire.

Skills & Experience

A volunteer must have a strong interest in sport as well as a drive to improve sporting and life outcomes for young people. Specialist knowledge in sport is not necessary as training can/will be given.

Application Form, Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Interview, Police Check, References, Trial Period

Training and Induction Details

Full induction, CPI, Manual Handling & Child Protection. Various other training opportunities will be available throughout the year.

Frequency & Commitment

We would ask that the volunteer commits to giving us 50 hours of volunteering throughout their placement to justify us providing training.
