About Opportunity
The Zero Waste Scotland campaign (formerly the Master Composter programme) aims to get people reducing, reusing and recycling waste in order to meet the highly ambitious set by the Scottish Government. In Perth and Kinross we are focusing on the following Zero Waste campaigns: Love Food Hate Waste Stop the Drop Home Composting and Peat-free compost Real Napies (optional) We need your help to provide information and advice to householders through home visits, attending events, and talking to people. If you have a few hours to spare, and want to inspire people to lead more sustainable lifestyles, get in touch. Training and social events will be provided.

About P & K Council Zero Waste Volunteer Programme
P & K Council's Waste Team exists to provide waste and recycling services to households in the Council area and also to actively promote campaigns for recycling and reducing waste and encouraging householders and business to reuse items. It is continuing drive to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill, Perth & Kinross Council has teamed up with Zero Waste Scotland to launch a volunteer programme which will help get the message of reducing and reusing waste to householders.
Skills & Experience
An interest in reducing waste, in cooking, composting or real nappies. Enthusiasm and an ability to communicate positively with the general public. Specialist skills such as gardening, cooking, IT or writing are welcomed but not necessary as full training provided.
Travel Details
Throughout P & K. Volunteers can focus on their local area, or can receive travel expenses in order to attend events around P & K.
