About Opportunity

Bring your engineering skills, expertise and experience to assist in developing a training programme to teach volunteers mobility vehicle maintenance and repair aimed at a basic SQA level 2 in mechanical/electrical engineering. This opportunity would be perfect for someone interested in electrical mechanical engineering, preferably qualified to HND level. You would also help in training individuals to become technical support staff. This opportunity may lead to a paid post. About Recycle Mobility Centre Ltd

Recycle Mobility aims to refurbish second hand mobility equipment to a high standard and sell at an affordable price whilst offering work place experience and training that meets the specific needs of the individual.

Skills & Experience

This opportunity would be suitable for someone interested in electrical mechanical engineering, preferably qualified to HND level. Skills required are patience, a good listener, good communicator and a sense of humour. In addition the volunteer should be someone who enjoys learning new skills and working as part of a team.

Training and Induction Details

Volunteer will attend a 1 day training course on the repair of mobility equipment based on manufacturer's requirements. Training will be in accordance with wheelchair manufacture's course on maintenance and repair.
