About Opportunity
Age Concern Glenrothes (ACG) is looking for enthusiastic people to join the Board of Directors. Along with other Board members you will set the strategic vision and direction of the organisation. The day to day operation of ACG is run by a manager, a small number of paid staff and many volunteers. There are 9 day sessions for older people plus two Dementia Specific sessions over 4 centres. Experience of working in the voluntary sector, management, finance, health or social care is an advantage, but in addition would welcome applications from young professionals and students who wish to gain experience of working at board level. Age Concern provides quality day care centre service in 8 different centres around Glenrothes. Our aim is to preserve dignity, prevent social isolation and to ppromote independant living for the frail elderly regardless of background and culture.
Skills & Experience
We especially need experience in social care, finance, human resources, change management and the voluntary sector.
Travel Details
Any necessary travel expenses will be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
