About Opportunity
Leonard Cheshire Disability care for disabled people within supported living accommodation units but quite often the service users like to go out for drives or visits more often than is currently possible. Volunteers can make a significant difference to people's lives by driving them to visit family or friends, to take part in activities or just simply to enjoy a run in the countryside. A volunteer befriender/driver is sought to accompany a female service user with learning difficulties to social events, cinema, walks and drives to visit family or countryside events. No personal care work is involved.
