About Opportunity
Voluntary Arts Scotland promote and highlight arts and crafts activities to decision-makers in their local area. Your role will be to connect with local self-led voluntary/amateur arts and crafts groups and reflect their issues, hopes and concerns. Eventually we aim to have a team of informed, confident arts and cafts representatives across Scotland, who can help influence Community Planning in their local area. As well as giving the voluntary arts and crafts a voice in Community Planning, the main prupose of the Voluntary Arts Ambassador's role is to promote the many benefits that taking part in the arts and crafts can bring about - including physcial and mental well-being, social integration and, of course, fun!

About Voluntary Arts Scotland
Voluntary Arts Scotland offers information and support to people who take part in the arts and crafts for the love of it, rather than for financial gain - or those how facilitate people to do so. We do this through a useful website filled with resources, a fortnightly e-newsletter which is highly regarded amongst the arts and voluntary sectors, and through working closely with politicians and other decision-makers to ensure the voice of the voluntary arts is heard.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for people with a passion for arts and crafts participation, some spare time, and good communication skills to join our new exciting venture. The ability to speak in front of a group of people is also desireable. Training on Voluntary Arts, Community Planning and Third Sector Interfaces, plus presentation skills will be provided. Ongoing access to support from the co-ordinator and contact with other Voluntary Arts Ambassadors will be available. There will be occasional further training opportunities, meetings and conference events.
