About Opportunity

Typical tasks and responsibilities include: conveying passengers and escorts safely from their starting point to their final destination in the Red Cross vehicle; working with another volunteer to assist passengers to and from the vehicle; performing routine checks on the vehicle, recording information in the logbook and reporting any defects/incidents; to keep and maintain accurate records; to deliver the service in line with British Red Cross standards, policies and principles and to work with other team members and the manager to ensure the smooth running of the service.

Skills & Experience

One satisfactory reference. Ability, entusiasm and sensitivity for communicating with people who are unwell. Able to work on your own as well as part of a team. The ability to be discreet and miaintain confidentiality. A commitment to equal opportunities and to treat all individuals in accordance with the principles, policies and standards of the Red Cross.

Across Dundee.

Restrictions

Need a full D1 driving license in order to be able to drive the vehicle.

Should be willing to attend volunteer induction and appropriate training for the role, including first aid training.

Frequency & Commitment
