About Opportunity

To engage visitors and communicate knowledge on the windfarm and renewable energy. This may include answering questions related to exhibits, provoking discussion and making links to visitors’ everyday experiences: * To participate and assist in shows and weekend activities. * To offer a fun, safe and welcoming environment to all visitors. * To work within the standards of the Whitelee Visitor Centre Health and Safety policy * To participate in training as required to effectively and efficiently carrying out your role

About Whitelee Wind Farm

Whitelee Windfarm is Europe’s largest windfarm and is located on Eaglesham Moor just 20 minutes from central Glasgow. The windfarm has 140 turbines which can generate 322MW of electricity, enough to power 180,000 homes. Entry to the windfarm and visitor centre is free and with an interactive exhibition and over 70km of trails, there is a lot to explore!

Skills & Experience

A genuine enthusiasm for renewable energy/communicating new technology: * A genuine enthusiasm for working with children * Able to work as part of a team or independently * Dependable * Well presented with smart appearance * Willing to undertake a Disclosure Scotland Check * Experience of working with young children (under 7s) * Confident and with good communication skills * Knowledge of renewable energy, turbines & Whitelee
