About Opportunity

Work with our young people, boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years, sharing indoor and outdoor life skills and experiences. A great excuse to be young at heart again... and sometimes muddy! At 1st Biggar/Tinto we offer over 70 young people the opportunity to try skills they may never normally experience, from camping and firelighting, to white water rafting or climbing, as well as day to day skills which will help through life. We currently have another 70+ young people on our waiting list who also wish to join, and we want to offer them the opportunity to develop. To enable us to do this we need more adults aged 18 and over, Scouting experience isn't necessary, just the ability to have fun, communicate with young people and let your hair down.
