About Opportunity
Immediate need. To manage the volunteers and to keep the Trustees abreast of best practice and ensure all legal requirements are met. The Volunteer Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that volunteers feel positive about their volunteering experience and act as a main point of contact for volunteers working with us. The main roles will include: Providing support to volunteers; Co-ordinating skills to appropriate roles within the project; identifying training needs; raising the profile of the volunteers; Celebrate volunteering through rewards events and recognition strategies. Attend regular team meetings as necessary.

About Sky Kids Project (SC033497)
To offer activities, holiday clubs, holidays to children and young people in Shortlees without entrance fee. To offer support to children and young people going through bereavement, bullying, moving into the community or with family issues. To set up mentoring services.
Skills & Experience
The ability to listen and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Experience in volunteering or working with volunteers, desirable but not essential. To be able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative. Volunteers should have empathy, be self motivated and reliable.
Travel Details
65 Sunnyside Road, Shortlees, Kilmarnock. There is a regular bus service and on-street car parking.
Restrictions
Disclosure checks mandatory. The vulnerable children we work with need stable, reliable adults who will nurture them. The ethos of volunteering is that volunteers are there because they want to be. This is very important to us.
