About Opportunity

Volunteers will provide karate coaching to children attending the Kaizen club. Volunteers will require to have an interest in and some skills in karate, and the ability to work with children to teach the sport in a safe, friendly environment.

About Kaizen (formerly Shotokai Karate Foundation)

Kaizen is a holistic defense organisation whose aims are to promote self awareness, self esteem and health. We use a traditional martial arts system to allow people to understand how to defend themselves hopefully without resorting to physical means. We also promote self esteem by teaching people at a very young age(pre-teens) communication and coaching skills

Skills & Experience

Volunteers should have some skills in the martial art of karate and a willingness to work with children to teach the sport in a safe environment.

Travel Details

Various groups operate in different areas and towns.

Restrictions

No age restrictions specified, although volunteers may require to be 16 for insurance purposes.

Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Police Check, Trial Period

Training and Induction Details

Volunteers are provided with all appropriate induction training and ongoing support by more experienced volunteers.
