About Opportunity

FAST is a ‘non-competitive’, friendly swimming club and provides an excellent opportunity for young swimmers in the local catchments of Queensferry, Dalmeny and Kirkliston to develop and improve their swimming technique and stamina whilst also having fun . We currently have around 30 members. We also participate in occasional friendly and novice swimming galas as well as holding our own annual club championships. At the end of each term, we hold ‘time trials’ in order to monitor the progress and improvements of all our swimmers. FAST is run by a dedicated team of volunteers including trained coaches (UKCC qualified), poolside helpers and committee members.
