About Community Transport Glasgow

Community transport is the term used to describe providing a range of transport facilities across the city to fill unmet transport needs within the local community. This ranges from access to hospitals from certain areas of the city, to ensuring that young and elderly people can travel to participate in various activities.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for individuals with experience in the following areas: PR/marketing; Fundraising; Charity Accountancy; Employment/Charity Law; Volunteer Management and development; Charity governance; working with vulnerable people; Business Management; transport legislation; community transport legislation.

Travel Details

Office is based in Shettleston but some volunteers will work from our hub in Drumchapel, both areas are served well by public transport.

Expenses Detail

We pay a mileage rate at £0.45 per mile. If the volunteer uses train/bus we will issue payment on receipt of bus/train tickets.
