About Opportunity

Wellbeing stress management workshops are being delivered in various venues across the West of Glasgow We are looking for someone to assist trainers to organise workshops with a view of co-delivering in the future. Get Ready Club will support people to gain various skills that will help them overcome barriers to employability. Volunteers will mentor members by linking them into existing employability services and if required accompanying them to appointments. Volunteers will also be involved in co-delivering workshops and keeping up to date with resources in the community. The Wellbeing Workshops involve:- Welcome Participants Organise Workshop materials Intervene if participants become distressed Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed. The Get Ready Club involves:- Develop and co-deliver workshops Keep up to date with resources in the community Supporting members to access IT Peer support to access employability services or other relevant community resources. Skills & Experience

Sensitivity is required for this role as is an understanding of common support needs within the community and an ability to promote people's self-belief within the context of employability. Volunteers will be expected to co-facilitate workshops so experience of this is desirable.

Training and Induction Details

Volunteers will be given induction and will be introduced to COPE's prgrammes as well as will have access to all training provided by the COPE organisation.
